Aktualisiert: 14. Sept. 2022

Koh Samui has even more sights besides great temples and breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls. These are what we want to introduce to you in this article.

Tarnim Magic Garden (80 Baht)

The Tarnim Magic Garden is a mystical place in the middle of Koh Samui. The approach is not too easy but doable with a scooter. Your brakes should be good, and your tread deep. The entrance fee is 80 baht. On-site, many beautiful stone statues await you, but paths are overgrown with moss, so please wear proper shoes and pay attention.

Overlap-Stone

It is now impossible to imagine Koh Samui without the Overlap Stone. Once unknown, the stone is now a popular photo motif. You will meet locals on site, who will charge you 50 baht as an entrance fee. In return, you can stay as long as you like, enjoy the view and take pictures or videos.

Grandmother and Grandfather Rock (Hin Yai & Hin Ta)

According to a local story, grandparents Yai and Ta died in a boating accident triggered by a strong storm on their way to their son's wedding. The grandparents drowned. Their bodies washed up on the shore and turned into stones. They are very popular with tourists because they represent the genitals of women and men. Do you recognize them?

If it's up to us, you can skip this spot. But if you have enough time on the island, it's worth a visit, because the rock formations on the beach are big and beautiful. You can enjoy a drink in a reggae atmosphere in the rock bar next door.

Lad Koh Viewpoint (View of Chaweng Beach)

If you are on your way from Chaweng Beach to the south of the island, it is worth making a short stop at the Lad Koh viewpoint. From here, you have a fantastic view of Chaweng Beach. It is located directly on the main road.

Sunset Big Buddha Pier (Bangrak location)

The Big Buddha Pier is located north of Koh Samui Airport and is one of the places where you can watch a beautiful sunset.
